Exploring Vocational Skill Level Certification to Unlock a "New Pathway" for High-Skilled Talent Development

To implement the national talent strategy, accelerate the development of a high-skilled workforce, leverage the leadership role of highly skilled talent in enterprises, and promote the spirit of craftsmanship, AMICO Company organized an independent vocational skill level certification exam on July 17, 2024.

A total of 109 employees registered for the certification, with 33 participants taking the CNC Turner (Advanced) certification and 76 participants taking the Assembling Fitter (Advanced) certification. The certification process combined theoretical exams and practical assessments. The theoretical exams included professional knowledge tests. Despite their busy daytime schedules, participants made use of fragmented breaks in the evenings to review and consolidate key knowledge points.

After over a month of preparation, candidates demonstrated their dedication today across various examination rooms. They wrote diligently and thoughtfully, ensuring their responses were comprehensive. The examination environment was orderly, reflecting the commitment and focus of all participants.

The practical assessment was conducted in a real work environment, evaluating the participants' hands-on skills in assembly and CNC operations. In the assembly workshop, participants carried out their tasks in order based on the examination schedule. The entire assembly process, from material preparation and pre-assembly inspection to assembly and post-assembly testing, was performed with precision and proficiency. The participants demonstrated standardized and skillful operations throughout, showcasing their professional competence.

In the machining workshop, participants approached the CNC machines in sequence, placing the workpieces into the equipment. Once processing was completed, they inspected the dimensions of the finished parts to ensure compliance with standards. Each step of the operation was executed seamlessly and with precision. The evaluators conducted on-site assessments in an orderly and impartial manner, scoring the participants according to the requirements outlined in the evaluation criteria.

This independent vocational skill level certification exam marks the beginning of the company's vocational skill level certification process. Moving forward, we will continue to promote and normalize this initiative, making it more systematic and standardized. By treating vocational skill level certification as a key measure in building the company's talent pool, we aim to help more outstanding, high-quality frontline talent stand out. This will lay a solid foundation for driving the company’s sustained high-quality development.
